Planning a Concert Trip from Cleveland to Massey Hall in Toronto

The May 2024 Massey Hall date has passed, but the idea behind it is still useful for travellers from northeast Ohio. A concert at one of Toronto's best-known venues is a good excuse for a long weekend across the border. Massey Hall stands on Shuter Street in downtown Toronto and opened in 1894. It has hosted classical recitals, jazz, folk, rock and international touring singers. Nana Mouskouri, the Greek singer whose career has run for decades, is among the artists who have appeared there. The hall closed for a major renovation and reopened in 2021, so it now combines its historic interior with updated facilities.

Getting there

Toronto is a practical drive from Cleveland. Most travellers head east toward Buffalo and cross into Ontario at one of the Niagara-area bridges, then follow the highway around Lake Ontario. Before you leave:
